Cayla Parker

Cayla Parker is a 22 year old Freediving Instructor originally from Wilmington, North Carolina. From a very young age she loved the ocean & stayed very curious about what was out there. After dreaming of living somewhere in the tropics to be able to enjoy surfing and freediving in warm water year round, she made her dreams a reality in Puerto Rico. After spending some time in PR she quickly realized just how much she enjoyed freediving. The freedom of diving on one breath hold was a feeling she holds so dearly to her. After taking a trip to Mexico in early 2024, Cayla and Nick decided it was time to take their love for freediving to a professional level and promptly began training. After many of hours, days, weeks, and months of training, they officially became instructors with SSI. Now, Cayla happily instructs freediving courses through her freediving center 'Mako Dive Co.' while still training towards greater personal goals of her own. She specializes in underwater modeling and has been involved in a number of different shoots & campaigns using her unique skills. On her free time you can usually find her with her boyfriend Nick, out on the boat with their dog Mako. She takes great care in making sure her students feel confident, safe, and well-equipped as they take on the beautiful journey of freediving.
