Nick DesRoberts

Owner / Instructor

Nick, originally from Saint Petersburg, FL, serves as a USCG Flight Mechanic on the MH60 helicopter and is currently stationed in Puerto Rico. During his time in Aguadilla, he has been enjoying the ocean through activities like freediving, spearfishing, and exploring. He decided to elevate his experience by obtaining advanced instructor certifications, aiming to share the joy and experiences he has had with others.

Nick, who grew up in Florida, has always been passionate about diving, spearfishing, and ocean life. However, since moving to Puerto Rico four years ago, he has taken his depth training and teaching more seriously and consistently due to his growing love for freediving. His passion for bluewater spearfishing, particularly hunting for tuna, wahoo, and other large fish with his students and friends, fuels his enthusiasm for freediving. He uses the buoy and line to enhance his skills for both the ocean and the sport.

Nick, alongside the SSI Freedive instructor and USCG, is a professional photographer and videographer specializing in underwater work. He has served hundreds of satisfied clients, capturing moments related to surfing, freediving, scuba diving, family portraits, weddings, AirBNB, and aviation. Nick has been pursuing this career/hobby for 4 years since moving to Puerto Rico.
